The Department of Justice and Community Safety, in partnership with African-Australian Family and Parenting Support Services Inc, are holding forums for South Sudanese community members and community organisations in the North-West and South-East Metro Melbourne. The forums will focus on family challenges and parenting support for young people, and how this relates to local issues that can lead to offending and legal problems among young people.
The forums will discuss issues and challenges with the aim of fostering an understanding between parents and young people, as well as creating a positive and supportive connection among young people, their parents, family members, and the community.
We are inviting South Sudanese community members and community organisations in the North-West and South-East Metro Melbourne to register their interest in attending one of these forums.
